Gabriele Wetzko (born 24 August 1954) is a former German swimmer. Born in Leipzig, East Germany, she competed for East Germany in the 1968 Summer Olympics and again in the 1972 Summer Olympics. She is the divorced wife of Wilfried Hartung.

In 1968, she competed in the women's 200 metre freestyle, the women's 400 m freestyle, and the women's 4×100 m freestyle relay, along with East Germans Uta Schmuck, Gabriele Perthes, and Roswitha Krause. The 4×100 m freestyle team won a silver medal.

In the 1970 European Aquatics Championships in Barcelona, she won a gold medal in the women's 200 m freestyle,[1] along with four other East Germans, a gold medal in the women's 4×100  medley relay,[2] in another team of four swimmers, a gold medal in the women's 4×100 m freestyle relay,[2] and a gold medal in the women's 100 m freestyle.[3]

In 1972, she competed in the women's 100 m freestyle, the women's 4×100 m medley relay, and the women's 4×100 m freestyle relay, where her team, once again, won the silver medal.

In 1973, she completed her career and began a medical degree, later graduating with an economics degree as well.
